Are you certified?
As a Registered Master Builder company in Cambridge, Ogle. Projects are covered by the Master Builders 10year Guarantee. This is protecting you against loss of deposit, non-completion of the build, defects in materials, workmanship and structural. Cover will depend on the value of the building contract.
Do you have a sales team or will I be liaising with the builders directly?
There’s no middle man with Ogle. Projects. Owners and Master Builder Cameron and Georgia will work with you directly to ensure everything runs smoothly, to plan and exceed your expectations.
Can I make changes during the building project?
Yes. Our team will work with you on any variations you may have throughout the build. All variations to the contract will be costed and presented to you for pre-approval.
Will I need building consent?
Majority of construction work on your residential homes now requires a building consent. Whether it’s structural additions to your existing home or changing internal layouts, they all require the process of gaining a building consent through the council. Depending on the extent of the project and your land title you may also require a Resource Consent.
Ogle. Projects are happy to project manage your build in Cambridge and beyond to take the stress of consents and management away, so please contact the team today.
Do you have a draughtsman/
architect?
We work closely with many designers and architects. We like to meet with you first then we can get a good gauge on which ones would suit you and your project before recommending them.
When should I contact Ogle. Projects?
The earlier the better! We can start working with you at any stage and as experienced project managers we ensure your project is built according to plan, specification and your desire. The earlier we get involved the sooner we can help develop your ideas, have your project mapped out and prepare you fully for your new build or renovation. Being experienced with building and renovating residential homes we are open to giving you advice and offer suggestions that will help your project run smoothly and could save you time and money. No matter what stage you are at we are always happy to hear from you.
Does my builder need to be a Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP)?
Yes. To undertake any restricted building works in New Zealand, you need to be an LBP. Most builds in New Zealand require a consent therefore you need a LBP to carry out the work.
Will the construction site be safe?
Yes. We have partnered with OSH Box and follow strict health and safety guidelines to ensure your build is safely managed.
What are the payment expectations for the building project?
We use a progress payment system that is outlined in your contract. The advantage of full contract work is you only need to make payments to the one company at specific stages of the build. When you receive your contract, you will see the payment schedule and construction schedule, so you know what to expect when.
How do I get a Code of Compliance (CCC) for the build?
We will work through the CCC application by submitting all required information for you to the council. This processed is carried out after the final inspection from the council.
All our subcontractors are licensed professionals with expertise to carry the project, providing documentation to support your CCC application.
What does full contract works mean?
When you build with Ogle. Projects you can be assured we take care of everything. Full contract means you only need to liaise with one company that is across the whole project. We work with great local and experienced subcontractors however we can work with your preferred suppliers and subcontractors if you wish.
A huge advantage of this is any repairs or defects can be organised through Ogle. Projects. You do not need to contact each company directly.
How will I stay connected to the project?
As well as catch ups and site visits you can stay connected to your project through our project management platform, BuilderTREND. You can log in at any stage and see the full construction schedule, project updates, site photos etc. You can request variations and changes through the platform and keep up to date in real time throughout your project from any device.
